A Seeds of Renaissance Group

Research

We explore pathways through the crises of our time to civilizational renewal and a radically wiser world.

A scholarly inquiry and a living experiment. Open to anyone serious about these questions, following the standards of good scholarship.

What we do

How does a culture change its deepest views and values, and how could ours change in time? We work on the ideas behind Seeds of Renaissance: the metacrisis, how paradigms shift, and what a wiser, saner culture could look like.

We map what is not working and why, study the new ways of thinking that are emerging, and test ideas in practice. Out of it come papers, reports and a shared understanding we put into the world.

  1. Whatis a second renaissance, and what new way of seeing is emerging?
  2. Howdo we get there from here?
  3. Whygo there: what is not working today, and why?

Anyone can come. Each week someone brings work in progress and we think it through together; the best of it is written up and published. Come and join in →

How we work

Open and rigorous. We take our cue from small groups that changed how a generation thought, from the Frankfurt School to the Bauhaus: people from many fields, working together on the questions that matter.
